The Twelve Days of Christmas, revisited

Originally posted December 23, 2005:

Ah, the holidays. Vacations are starting, guests are coming in, much chocolate and wine is being consumed. The next time I see y'all, it'll probably be 2006.

Everyone have a fantastic holiday season!

....On the twelfth day of Christmas, Food Network gave to me:

Twelve Giadas grinning

Eleven Saras sniping

Ten Sticks of butter

Nine Bobbys boasting

Eight Daves a-twitching

Seven Tylers flirting

Six Dirty restaurants

Five Ra-chael Rays!

Four Emerils yelling

Three french hens

Two Alton Browns

One hungover Sandra Lee

This is hilarious!! I laughed out loud when I got to the part about "1 hung over Sandra Lee." Those photos of Rachael are a riot!

Feel free to visit my site sometime. One of my favorite semi-homemade topics is Sandra Lee:

Matt is Lost in TV

So very true too!! I was convinced Sandra may be an alcoholic when I flipped to the Food Network yesterday and saw Sandy had decorated her tree in bar and stemware. She called it her "Cocktail Tree."

It amazes me that even after this, still no one has hosted an intervention.

I love your blog.

And why do Sandra "drunky" Lee and Rachel "manhands" Ray have television shows?

I just discovered your blog and I know I'm VERY late to comment on this entry, but I just wanted to tell you that your one characteristic that you chose for each chef was PERFECT. Brilliant!

A few years ago, I went to a holiday party in NYC thrown by Harvey Weinstein for Sandra Lee in celebration of her holiday cookbook coming out (my good friend worked for the ad agency that promotes Sandra Lee so my friend took me).

There was lots of free booze and my friend and I got drunk, as did Sandra Lee, who came and sat down with us towards the end of the evening. Let me tell you, it was REALLY hard to not say something obnoxious/funny to her, especially considering that I was drunk! Hilarious!!!

I do have to say, though, that's she's beautiful in real life.

Another new discoverer of your blog. I have to say this was hilarious. Is it just me or does Dave look like he's mimicking an intimate act of self love?
